The History and Origins of Cotton Candy and Cotton Candy Art

Cotton candy first became popular in the 19th century thanks to the creative minds of John C. Wharton, a confectioner, and William J. Morrison, a dentist. In 1897, in Nashville, Tennessee, they invented a revolutionary machine that turns sugar into the delicious candy we know and love today.

It is presumed that cotton candy art appeared in Japan/China, becoming a trend in food art and entertainment, captivating everyone with creativity. Where creators excelled in creating flowers and beloved cartoon characters of all kinds made of cotton candy, and because of this creativity, cotton candy became a popular dessert for all age groups and caught the attention of everyone globally.

At Candy ‘n Art, we introduced our version of cotton candy by making an innovative shift and presenting creations that spread joy and unforgettable memories with our touch.
- Introducing sugar-free cotton candy on a commercial level.
- Creating facial features for the cotton candy designs using fondant, replacing the seaweed with its unpleasant smell.
- Innovating breadsticks as a serving option along with the standard paper/wood sticks.
